What's a neurological condition?
A neurological condition can affect the brain, spinal cord and/or the peripheral nerves. Neurological conditions can be caused by illness, trauma or disease.
Lifestyle and genetics can be contributory factors to someone having or developing a neurological condition.
1 in 6 people in the UK have a neurological condition.
The symptoms of having a neurological condition are wide ranging and can affect cognition or communication.
Sometimes there are physical symptoms such as paralysis or seizures, and/or changes in sensation, coordination and balance.
